I think people are also downplaying his 2019. Toplines aren't great but that would be a huge boost to a 2022 Angels rotation.

The  same thing could have been said about Ohtani last offseason. The only thing I was worried about with Ohtani was that he hadn't lost his velocity, after TJ. Noah threw 97 mph in his 2 innings before the end of last season. Anyone remember a couple of years ago when Taijuan Walker was past over because of his TJ surgery even though he had pitched 1 scoreless inning the year before.

He kind of worked out for the Halos. Maybe the question Lou needs to ask is "What 2nd round picks of the Angels have helped them make the playoffs"?

I like the signing if Arte is spending more than $50M. If not then we’ll be seeing a lot of Luis Rengifo this year and I’ll hate the deal.
