  1. Damn, you take this so seriously. Thanks for your inclusive and tolerant opinion.
  2. Speculation. I've been on AW for over 10 years. I never post because my work does not involve being at a keyboard for the majority of my day. Also usually in my free time im working on my house, playing with my kids or being outside. Not on here. I know who posts and what their perceived perspective is on almost all issues on this board. Thanks for the judgemental statement regarding who and what I am.
  3. Obviously you didn't read the post. That was in reference to what Isreal did to remedy the issue of shootings at their schools. I'm sorry if the word "psycho" triggers you in reference to a terrorist organization. That's your problem not mine.
  4. What's wrong with spirited debate? All I'm doing is bringing up points from my perspective. How you or anyone else takes it is you or their issue. If you want parroting echo chambers hit up Gab or Politico. I'm not about rage bait porn. Just talking points.
  5. So do I. I wasn't making a blanket statement. That's you. What I'm saying is that most, if not all of these killers came up in a disfunctional home life. Some people can handle it. Some cannot. That's the foundation.
  6. Hmm....."likely" your words. Are you right? I don't know. It's speculative. You should have phrased it as IMO...otherwise you are claiming your view as fact which is misleading. Yes I agree something should have been done before that with Columbine. That comes down to which world view dominates. One side or the other. I would like to know for fact not speculation what the "gun lobby" has done to facilitate these shootings please. As fast as hamas and other certified terrorists go, the whole two party state issue between the Israelis and the Palestinians is that one is open to all whist the other wants it for one group only. Lastly, projection is apparent with the Faux News jab. I haven't watched that channel ever. Anyone who claims this is always behind the times with where people get their info from. It's pure nacicstic ignorance, but thank you anyway.
  7. I was just identify the problem from my perspective. I was expecting some sort of tribal emotional reactionary response. Thank you for obliging.
  8. This has been a multi faceted issue. We can go down the rabbit hole of why this happens. IMO, the issue is culture. How many of these shooters were raised without a father in their lives? How many were loners addicted to social media, fed endless "content", porn, identity politics, etc. This is a recipe for disaster. When I was in school, these issues were non existent. Now, we can argue about how to deal with the root of the problem, but the bottom line is that these things can and will happen. Now how do we deal with it at the door of our schools? As much as I don't like comparing the usa with another country, but Israel dealt with this issue by having well armed IDF at each school ready for anything. I think we should follow this model. The last time they had a school shooting was may 15th 1974. And they have psycho Hamas to deal with, not just wack jobs around town. Also balistic rated doors and glass for the actual school rooms. Of course it's all about money, yea it will cost billions, but we just forked over 56B to a foreign country. What are our priorities? Other countries or our own kids?
  9. As an ibew journeyman....change is the norm. I'm working here down at the power plant in HB...and one day I'll be laid off...its just a matter of getting used to it. My buddies who don't work construction find what I have to to do get new job crazy.
  10. Hey AW! The names' Rich. Im from HB. I have followed the Angels since I was a kid. Born in 74' My first recollection of being into the team was around 79-80. My dad was a big time Angels fan growing up in socal. He used to follow the team all the way back into the PCL days and went to many games as a kid at Wrigley. Its also where I get my intense distain for the Dogs per him. When I was a kid I'd say my favorite players were Rod Carew and Bobby Gritch. One of the most memorable games I got the chance to attend was the last start Nolan Ryan had as a ranger at the Big A. Also the elimination game against the Sux a few years back. Ive been a lurker on AW since 08 for the most part. I used to have an old account, but I thought Id introduce myself again since there are so many new members these days.
  11. The angels have never fared well on ESPN Sunday night games for as long as I can remember
  12. Yes....I haven't read it in awhile...but I had to pick it up just for that reason.
  13. Not sure if this is a Craig or not, but I just got the new OC weekly, and low & behold Mr Trumbo is on the cover. Its a good interview. He really talks about his love for the Halos growing up, etc... http://www.ocweekly.com/2014-03-13/news/people-2014-mark-trumbo/
