I like the move and obviously we all hope it works out, but dismissing the media criticism as if it has no warrant is not being fair. Thor has 2  innings pitched the last two seasons and the one before that wasn't stellar. As Stradling pointed out typically the year back from TJ is not a 100% peak type of season.

No.  If the Angels want to play with the big boys, they need to target starting pitchers you would be very satisfied handing the ball to in an elimination postseason game.

I have nothing against Cobb, but they should aim higher.

In the 6th inning he would be fine.  He seemed perfectly fine in games where he started innings.

Also Cobb in his 18 starts he gave up 1 run or less in 10 of those 18 starts.

Nah, I’d like another dominant SP. Spending big on pen arms usually doesn’t pay off
