  1. I like Sandoval. I want him to succeed in Anaheim, but man is he frustrating… I do think he would benefit from being a #3/4 rather then trying to be a #2.
  2. I like the idea of Adell and Moniak getting a ton of ABs, but he is raking…
  3. I kinda like them. Growing up in LB, all things San Diego suck, but I’ve always kinda liked the Padres unis. Unique for pro sports and very LBSU-ish.
  4. I'm happy to not see Aaron Loup waddle out to the mound...
  5. That is interesting. I have been working under the assumption that he is not a locker room cancer and that simply, the majority of the fans are frustrated with him. I would be curious to know how his current teammates feel about him. It doesn't bother me that he doesn't love baseball as long as 1. he is doing everything he can to be on the field and 2. he isn't a distraction to his teammates - particularly the young guys.
  6. I really hope Hicks isn't taking significant AB's from Adell or Moniak. If we're going for it and Bellinger is taking their AB's - fine. If we're truly rebuilding, I'd like to see Adell and Moniak playing enough to see what we have in them.
  7. I like numbers so it's hard for me to call them useless, but I think wins can certainly be a misleading stat.
  8. That would have been a great response. I think he enjoys fucking w Blum. They really seem to not like each other.
  9. I mean that would be the preferred response, but if he says that and then proceeds to be injured for 100 games - it’s meaningless and everyone who is pissed at him now will be pissed at him for being hurt. If he says, fuck it, baseball is just a job and I don’t love it but stays healthy and is productive for a change - most won’t care what he says. I don’t love my job, but I’m good at it.
  10. Honestly, I'd be more concerned if baseball was more important to him than his faith and his family. Not loving baseball is not causing him to be injured more or to to not recover as quickly. His body is breaking down... I don't follow Sam Blum so I have no idea why he has an axe to grind with Rendon, but he clearly does. And this is 100% an example of "we don't want to hear clichés and we want honest answers" until we get the honest answer and it isn't what we wanted it to be.
  11. I’m excited. I don’t think the Halos will be great, but I’m excited for an actual youth movement. My expectations are lowered. I’m hoping to see a well-coached team that plays hard. I’d like to see Detmers and or Sandoval figure it out. I’d like to see Canning build off of last year. I think Silseth can be a productive starter.
  12. 1980s for me as well. My first real Angel's memories are losing to the Brewers being up 2-0 in the 3 game series. I think I was 10... Being 1 strike away a few years later... Frustrating, but I loved it. Watching the games on KCal 9 (I think), beating my dad to the paper or at least the sports page and going straight to the box scores... Real life got in the way for me and I missed a lot of the Angels seasons where they were actually good - most of the post WS series run I only really saw a few playoff games on TV. Now life has slowed down and I can watch a lot of the games, try to go to a road game every year and we suck again, but I still love it.
