  1. He pitched smoothly last night.
  2. "Ted Williams: Biography of An American Hero" by Leigh Montville. A big book, but a fast read. "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham. True Crime. Baseball. Good writing.
  3. QuinlansMinion, you have made some great points....I don't see what it could have hurt to try to make him pay a little more for getting out of So Cal if that was his desire (and it looks like it is). In the end, it is a free ticket outta town for him (due to the tax difference in TX) and only saves the Angels a little bit of a BIG contract....
  4. Mother's Day game a few years age when Torii Hunter made that amazing over-the-wall catch to rob (another) Home Run....Great memory of a great game and Mom, too. Doesn't get much better...
  5. 75' World Series game 6. I saw it on a little 13" color TV with my Dad when it was broadcast and he was jazzed because he grew up a Ted Williams/Red Sox fan. It is a great memory that could only be better it we had actually been there.
  6. You might be right. I recall a few years ago that I heard on some program that the Angels were the second least popular team in baseball. Only the Blue Jays had fewer fans nationwide. I am sure that diring the last few years this might have changed, but some some prejudices a stubborn.
  7. This makes some sense as the Angels are one of the least popular teams nationwide from what I understand. Trout still rocks, and he truened one of my family members an Angels fan (she was raked in Millville, NJ a long time ago) who was a life-long Red Sox fan.
  8. Went last night with my son and daughter and left a little early (top of 8th inning) since it was a "school night." The score was bad enough when we left, but it got worse from there. I stopped at a gas station on the way home and while pumping gas an older gentleman asked if we had come from the game (he noticed the Angels jacket I was wearing) and then started tearing up Angels management from the top down! Gee whiz! I was afraid the old man was gonna have a stroke or something. Please people--we all know the past two nights sucked, but the season has barely started...."Wow" was all i could say as a shook my head.
  9. Thanks for posting...I bought my wife a bike for her 50th last year (a beauty of a bike for a beauty of a wife). She loves it, and I will not be able to look at that bike the same way after reading this. It does makes me hope she will be riding it for a long time to come, but that time goes very fast.
  10. where can we find the post? I would like to check it out... thanks.
