Honestly, I'm not about that "F Gerrit Cole" movement. I like him, he's my favorite pitcher in the game and I'm very happy for him. He deserves the right to play wherever the hell he wants. And honestly, I'm glad he went to the Skanks and not the Dogs. This fucking sucks though.

It is imperative that Arte and Eppler lock down Rendon and two pitchers.

Just because Arte’s all in isn’t the same as the Yankees doesn’t mean he wasn’t all in. He just lost the bid. There’s still plenty of time for the Angels to get better before opening day. Cole wasn’t the only option. Time for plan B and let’s make it work.

They don’t have the luxury of knowing what the other team bids.  And how do you know when Boras is having you bid against yourself.  So the Angels offered 8 years and $36 million a year or some shit like that.  It’s an incredible offer, but it wasn’t enough.

If Angels offered about 8/290 (which is what it sounds like) no way a month ago I thought that wouldn't be enough. Calling Arte cheap is a bad take IMO. Let's go Eppler spend that money wisely.
