I like it. When airlines fail there will be a short period of service interruption but since they are immensely profitable they will reset and back in play through other financiers. It is an industry to big to actually fail to have a customer base. It just means a small amount of people that are currently invested will not have that cash cow to milk.

It concerns me that the few megacorps will have the opportunity to grow even bigger. To me it just feels like time to move in the other direction

Sadly we know Trump is buddy buddy with all the airline CEO's and he probably has a ton of stock of his own.

As someone said before, it's not like those planes are gona disappear or the market for air travel will collapse long term. This is a paperwork issue... people who invested in highly leveraged companies should be punished for taking a risk and getting called on it.

The American taxpayers who are seriously struggling right now owe these billionaires nothing.

Hey remember when catinthehat was calling me an asshole because I said the stock market doesn’t mean jack shit to almost all typical working people.  Regardless of their 401K’s.

it’s almost like the interest of capital and labor are inescapably opposed.

58 million Americans have 401k plans.  I would say the stock market matters to them

We were told yesterday that employees across the company are getting furloughed starting April 19. Naturally they say no decisions have been made on who will be impacted.

Unfortunately our team was determined essential.  They furloughed all the consultants/contractors though, which is like half our building.
