MLBTR just states he is facing one. Since he broke his hand, he would still be missing a good chunk of games anyway but now he just won't get paid to miss those games if he does get suspended. Knowing absolutely no info, I kind of understand why he would want to use steroids to live up to that monster contract he signed

M's may be 23-17, but they are hanging on a shoestring rotation with Paxton and not exactly a good #2 guy in LeBlanc, and a meh bullpen after Diaz and Pazos.    Their offense, now without Cano for the season, will need to carry them. 

Sounds like a Dipoto run franchise.

The M’s are likely the Angels biggest competition for the second WC, so this is welcome news. He’ll still be back for their final 42 games but this will hurt them severely.

I don't think you can serve your suspension while on the DL.

Using PEDs has a penalty negotiated by the CBA. M's can't punish him any more than the 80 game suspension.

M's catch a break kinda since he was likely out for two months anyway with the broken hand -- but he loses his pay and I don't believe he can work out as he normally would while suspended.   Crazy turn of events.

edit- for those reading through this thread late, turns out the DL time counts towards his suspension time. So he will be back for the last stretch of this season.

MLB Network has reported it -- Rosenthal has commented on it being official with no word yet on what the actual violation is.

Essentially sounds like it, yes.  From everything I have seen, the suspension starts AFTER he returns from the DL.
