Tigers trade Prince Fielder for Ian Kinsler

I wrote on here a little awhile back that prince had a down year. Someone said he was going through a bad divorce.

If that was the case, he could be a nice rebound in texas. I still don't get why the tigers would do that though? Kinsler isn't getting better, and he's not cheap. I'd think they would want to keep him and mcab together and go for a cheaper option (daniel murphys name keeps coming up)

Several reasons why the Tiggers do this:

A) Free up money for Scherzer.

2) Move Miggy back to first, less wear & tear.

c) Bring Castellanos back to his original position, third base, where he's a decent defender.

Some of the same people who look at Fielder's off year (his only one) and think "decline" are looking at Pujols' steady decline over the last four years, thinking "bounceback".

Angelswin to logic: "I defy you!"

Kind of what I thought reading some of the posts.

Seems like a good trade for both teams.  Naturally I hope Fielder sucks in Texas but I think he's going to rake and age wise he's still got some prime years left.
