I don't get the sense Ohtani is that guy to want to go through the free agency process, but then again, he will if he needs to in order to win. 

The Angels will offer him plenty of money. Perry has said he wants Ohtani long term and they know they'll need to pay up. 
Ohtani will want to stay if they can win. I don't think Ohtani will make it complicated. All he's been saying is "I want to win".

It's simple for Ohtani but those words are so complicated for the Angels.

Despite the QO, i'd LOVE if the Angels got Bassitt. Would almost guarantee the Angels would flip a trade for a SS, but this team would look pretty damn good.

I've always liked him and Manea on Oakland and would take either of them to join the rotation to be honest.
