it does look odd to me too. I'll just remember him as the "gum chewing" lefty!

I watched it a few times and he's screwing on the cap for the fireball shot, I don't see any prescription bottle or anything. If you pause it, it does look like gum to me.

I'm glad that Ausmus kept the conversations the team had behind closed doors private.  Loved his reasoning too.  They are a family and it was a family conversation.  Felt protective in a good way.  They will all get questions for days, weeks, months about this, so allowing them some privacy is deserved for sure.  They need it.

Works for me. That's what I want to believe is happening there so I'm good.

I only found a link to view it on Facebook:

Thanks for listing that.

Was thinking about Moreno last night. Only guy I can think of still around from Adenhart (along with some clubhouse guys, front office types).

I think another thing to remember about these guys is that theyre closer than average coworkers. Youre stuck together for 8 months, every day. Away from home, family, etc. Flying together, eating together, etc etc. So even guys who only play together for a brief time get real close.

Absolutely breaking my heart listening to Victor Rojas call the game today. You can hear all the life and joy taken out of his voice today. Very quiet and humble which is very respectful to the situation, but so heartbreaking to listen to. He was visibly upset during the pregame. Can only imagine the pain they all feel. Just heartbreaking.

I couldn’t think it would get any worse after hearing the Loss of Skaggs and the tributes and Victor Rojas holding back tears. But then Trout, Calhoun, Heaney and Upton spoke in the post game and all were choked up holding back tears the best they could. One hell of an emotional day. One we wish to forget be will never forget. Like Roger Lodge said on the radio yesterday.....

”yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.” Just a reminder how quick like can change.
