He was an interesting story. He had a thick southern accent and played the country boy thing up, but it was mostly an act, he was actually well educated.

I think the guy in the black hat (above) is going to be pretty tough..someone would really have to know their baseball history..It's a famous name that most baseball fans would know.

The eyebrows might be a clue.

Got it...pic is from 1907.

Inducted into the HOF in 1967, 2 years after his death. Probably did more to change the game than anyone before or since.

Spring training, farm teams, fundamental drills, things like batting cages...oh and he signed Jackie Robinson.

Yep, Coleman and Rizzuto.

Jerry Coleman was the MVP of the 1950 World Series, and later of course, the Padres broadcaster.
