It's just a little more complicated for the Angels to realize that value.

Rendon + two good starters + a decent catcher would make the Angels a postseason team, imo.

Getting Rendon puts our lineup on par with the best. Astros, Yankees, Red Sox, Twins...our lineup can put up a fight with anybody.

Same here, if Upton can play 80% of 2017 that would be an added bonus

With a clear ace type like Ohtani, add Kluber who's been a #1 for a long time now and you add a Keuchel because he gives up a lot of groundballs and eats innings, that's a solid team folks. We'll be adding one if not two catchers in Maldonado and Castro too.

I'd rather not trade Fletcher, but I think he has more trade value these days than a player like him would have had 10-15 years ago.   I think we might be surprised how high it is.  He's cheap, plays great defense at multiple positions, and is decent offensively.  Lots of teams would be interested.

They will undoubtedly add a couple more arms in addition, but it may take another week or two.

If we sign him, we should keep Fletcher and La Stella, and trade Rengifo, Thaiss, and Ward for pitching.
