Wheeler’s body of work isn’t worth $100 million yet he got it.  Eovaldi’s body of work wasn’t worth $68 million.  Joe Kelly wasn’t worth $25 million.  It literally happens every off season.

Indians are taking calls on Clevinger. He might be one of the only players I’d kick around the idea of trading Adell for. He’s a young frontline ace with 3 years of club control left I believe.

I would trade Marsh, Rengifo, Sandoval, Thaiss and Soriano for Clevinger.

You guys here trying to trade: Adell, Marsh, +  for a single guy. while i'm here worry about who's our right fielder in the future, what if Upton continues to decline and we do trade away out system....We'll be stuck back in the Jerry era all over again, and that Era held us back. basically having dark hole's in the line-up.

@Chuckster70 didn't say both. It's either Adell OR Marsh and a package.

Plus @Jeff Fletcher pointed out once that it's easier to replace outfielders than it is pitching. Adams/Knowles/Deveaux are options in future. 

If it meant getting a controllable frontline ace then I'd part with Marsh. Anyone should agree to that.

Yeah I would try to target a package around Marsh and hold out Adell. But I would seriously kick around the idea of Adell if the Indians were persistent. For a pitchers like Clevinger you at least have to explore.

Not Canning. It's said the Indians have a ridiculous asking price for Clevinger which is why the Angels should turn around.

Curious as to why not Canning? I like him a lot; but for Clevinger? Young ace type pitcher with 3 years of control? Do you think Canning turns out to be = to or better than Clevinger?

6 years of control, incl arb.

I actually bet it was Canning, Marsh, and Rengifo for Kluber. They probably want those three plus Jackson for Clevinger. HARD PASS.
