I love how Rojas is questioning and criticizing Scioscia for not allowing Trout to steal bases. Too bad that stubborn a-hole is pretty set in his ways.

A diving catch for Ibanez = a routine catch for almost every other OFer.

 

Ibanez just may be the worst defensive player in baseball. There is absolutely no reason why he should be playing defense.

Mike Scioscia happened. Trout can't steal unless Scioscia gives him the go-ahead to steal.

Pujols said he preferred less movement on the bases when he is batting. They have moved less and it has helped Albert get off to this hot start.

Hopefully the Halos can do some damage early and get inside Cosart's head. He's young so maybe they can rattle him.

I don't think it has anything to do with putting a red light up for Trout, Scioscia has always let his guys run, if anything Scioscia teams are too aggressive on the bases. I think it has something to do with Pujols, but then again he could have ran when Josh was batting.

CJ is pitching more to contact today, and it's working for him so far.

Looks like he might get through 4 in with 50 pitches or less.

If CJ can pitch to contact on a more regular basis it would save this bullpen, at least one day out of five.

the shift seems to actually be affecting trout. i'm sure he will adjust (he IS trout, after all), but it will be interesting to see if other teams try this against him, and if so how long it takes him to fully adjust.

even as i type this, he's getting a single. but still.

The angels are super bipolar this season. They look damn near flawless in games won. But when they've lost games they look like a AA team unravelling at the seams the very next day. Stop playing with my emotions you bastards
