It's time to accept that we have a moronic owner that simply hasn't learned from past mistakes, and frequently makes irrational decisions. The move to get rid of him is whatever. He's a useless player (for us) and an endless distraction, so it's nice to save a little money at least...wouldn't be surprised if he hits us hard in Arlington though.

Iannetta will turn it around offensively. But this team desperately needs a better defensive catcher that can also hold his own at the plate (they've needed that for about 10 straight years now). It's time to draft a catcher in the 1st or 2nd round

They do need to add position player talent around these two guys. I don't know how anyone can say they don't. Pujols is old and basically gets worse every year from here on out. Aybar is solid but on the wrong side of 30 now. Iannetta is a decent bat but average as an all around catcher. Left field position is a mess in which they have 30 million a season tied up in a guy who can't get on the field. DH is whatever. Could be better but not worth crying about. Freese is an average player that will need to be upgraded on as he is also pretty damn old and nonathletic at 3rd. 2B right now is being filled by utility players that have never hit much in their careers. Again...going to need a solution there at some point. So yes, they do need to start drafting and developing position players at a far more successful rate than they have been the last 4 years. Especially infielders. The lack of talent to come through the system on the infield since Morales, Kotchman, Wood, Aybar, and Kendrick were all coming up together is alarming and almost embarrassing.

Everything I've heard about Katie Hamilton suggests she is not a good person at all. I don't know much, but the little I've heard paints her out as somewhat of a bitch. I'm not defending Josh but I don't necessarily think his drug use is what's leading to this divorce

Johnson has gotten on base at every level so far. That's really encouraging even if he's a bit old. As for Newcomb, I'm really excited. I think he's got big upside, and from everything I've seen/read, he's got that bulldog mentality like a Madison Bumgarner. Could be a horse for us in the near future
