Noah Syndergaard - Angels Agree to 1-Year, $21 Million Deal

All the optics are great. If even around 75% of the ideal management plan fall into place it's a big upgrade.

I'd take an Ohtani type plan. 6  starter rotation, around 120 - 140 innings, 20 - 25 starts. Not getting carried away with crazy expectations, but something like  a 12 - 7 W/L, ERA under 4, twice as many K's to W's. Not near his peak past, but also potentially a first step to even better future results. Which hopefully translate into a longer deal.

Also, this should be in sync with Ohtani's pitching rhythm. Still waiting for a workhorse, proven inning eater, and quality finisher. But the bones of a solid, if unspectacular staff are falling into place.

You can also look at his acquisition and Eppler going to the Mets as a coincidental type trade/exchange. Time will tell who has the better results.
