This doesn't strike me as a terrible move, actually. He will probably be better than Watson has been this year, and mediocre is a clear step up for this bullpen. And he does fit next years team as the 6th or 7th guy.

But whoever he would have been traded to would have been on the hook for just a small portion of that.
