It's obvious Minasian not giving up on this year. With Trout and Rendon coming back hopefully soon. Detmers will now get his chance. Maybe offers were low on Raisel so maybe we resign him and also Cobb. Got 2 pitchers that might help in pen, at least they have decent numbers in minors this year. Rest of season rotation of Ohtani, Sandoval, Suarez, Cobb, Barria and Detmers can see where halos are at in rotation. Bullpen still a mess.

Well, they didn't trade Adell and Detmers for 12 Scherzer starts, so to some degree there's a sense of relief.

This has been our curse the past few years with Trout, add in 2021 with Ohtani and this is what we get. We're not good enough to buy because we're on the fringes of competitiveness and still building our farm and we're not bad enough to sell and totally rebuild. We're stuck in the middle...

I’d rather pay 19m for a shut down closer than 20m for 5 guys who do nothing but blow leads night after night.

I definitely find it interesting that the Angels would trade Tony Watson, but keep Raisel Iglesias (on an expiring contract). Not sure what that signals about their plans this season. But other teams ahead of the added quite a lot.

I mean.... Selman and Cishek might be OK as the 5th and 6th guys on a decent bullpen....so three more guys.

I agree. I don't think Minasian gives Iglesias a QO. Maybe he tries to sign him to a 2 year deal.

as far at the Andrew Heaney trade…. We should have kept Howie and tried to extend him. Heaney was never good as an angel.

Correct he was average for the most part. You have to make a trade like that, it just didn’t really work.
