Blessed to be apart of the Angels organization. The work is only beginning. @Angels @MLB

This is awesome !! Pearson was supposedly the one we needed to worry about possibly not signing.

Adell seriously looked like he could step in to MLB Network as an anchor and not miss a beat.

Hunter Greene too. Both very well-spoken and mature for being teenagers, especially teenage pro athletes. They're going to be great for baseball.

Yep, Adell is just fine!  Sooo much better than most in these interviews.

Nots sure what to conclude from Pearson's tweet. He was the one hyping up his plans to play for LSU unless he got an offer he couldnt refuse, looking like he'd need a nice over slot offer to get him signed. But now he tweets like its a done deal? Is it?  Or could these next steps he mentions be the actual negotiation process itself, with ambitions for overslot money?

I think he's an 18-year-old kid who posts things on social media without thinking.

That and I'm sure he's excited about the opportunity to possibly play in the MLB.... My former SS from LBST will be signing with the Mets he was their 25th rounder and has another year of eligibility left.

4    115    Angels    John Swanda    RHP    Roosevelt HS, Des Moines

The Angels were ready to select the Des Moines Roosevelt pitcher in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball Draft if he was willing to accept their financial offer, Jason Wood told him.

The money was too good for Swanda to pass up, so the Roosevelt senior told Wood he was willing to accept their offer.

Swanda plans to end his high school career, pass on a scholarship at Nebraska and begin his professional career with the Angels.

Just to add on:

Instead, he plans to start his professional baseball career after the Angels were willing to pay him his asking price to steer him away from college. Swanda said he and his family were asking for “around $600,000.” According to MLB.com, the assigned slot value for the 115th overall pick is $493,900.

Swanda wouldn’t share the exact details of the offer.

“I’ll tell you it was a little bit more than that,” he said.
