Line of Duty

What did you think of DCI Gates?

I thought Lennie James did an excellent job in that role

He did a good job. Wasn’t familiar with this actor but liked him. I like that his character was willing to sacrifice so much for the truth to be revealed.

This is an interesting thing that's happening with this movie.

"Godzilla vs. Kong" Has Monster Opening with $48.5 Million

On one hand you have a movie that streaming from day 1.  So you have the theater operators claiming foul.

Then you have the pandemic with limited capacity.  So are people just itching to go to the theater?

You also have the type of movie.  Some movies are made more for the big screen than the small screen.  So does this factor come into play for other movies?

Movies:  Godzilla vs Kong  Finally able to see a movie in the theaters.  And this was really a theater movie.  Lot's of special effects, except for the big lizard and monkey which were real.  A story line with humans.  But it was lighthanded this time.  Lots of monster fights, which is what you are watching for anyways.  Was definitely the best of the new series so far.  Might hold up on the small screen.  But if you are are a theater person, Godzilla and Kong were made for the big screen.

Definitely better in the theaters.  Just didn't have the grandness on the small screen.

Finished S2 of Line of Duty. That's some damn good TV. Looking forward to more.

For All Mankind is getting interesting... but it's been moving a little slow for me.

A Million Little Things is starting to get a little boring.

Spoiler

The Eddie character is getting on my nerves with all of his issues.

Netflix:  This is a Robbery:  The World's Biggest Art Heist  So I guess this fits in Netflix's true crime series.  Different angle on this one, as it wasn't a murder, but an Art Heist in Boston.  It was a really fascinating limited series, and worth the watch, and fits with their other crime docs.

Definitely gonna watch Kong v Godzilla.  Haven't scrolled back much here because it seems like most of the recent mentions have been TV shows.  Has anyone seen some really great movies recently (maybe something that hasn't received a lot of attention, under the radar...kind of the Jose Iglesias signing of movies?)
