  1. 1. Joel Sherman indicated that the Angels are still "engaged" in the pitching market. Do they sign Odorizzi? Explain your results and what the outcome means.

You'll have to do your own HW on that, but Trevor Plouffe does a lot with JB now, and he's close with Odorizzi. So I'm guessing it has some accuracy to it. But since then, Plouffe's go-to had been, "no comment."

But they pretty clearly have insider info, their rotation has been solidified since they were the first to report the Astros cheating scandal.

I saw Jomboy insinuating that Odorizzi was hoping for a different team to offer because  the Angels don’t have a pitching coach.

Jomboy is such an ass. He like hates our team for some reason.

He's a hardcore Yankees fan. The only team Yankees fans hate more than the Angels are the Red Sox.

You'd think they wouldn't care but Yankees fans ire is inordinately focused on the Angels versus other competitive teams that aren't in their division. Maybe it's a New York versus LA thing, maybe it's because we took Trout right out of their own backyard. Maybe it's because Ohtani spurned them for the Angels (you should see the MLBTR comments section on any Ohtani article, the hate for Ohtani runs deep with their fans).

I can't really out my finger on it, but Yankees fans really dislike the Angels for some odd reason.

We were one of the only teams with a winning record against them in the Scioscia era, iirc, including stomping over them on the way to the WS in 02. Also, with Ohtani, gotta remember the whole ROY thing with him beating out Andujar.

If you say so, it must be true.

do you actually believe that the Yankee fans hate the Angels more than they hate the Dodgers?  If I had to guess this is their list of hated teams in some sort of order:

Red Sox

Dodgers

Astros

Maybe the Angels

If you've seen this Mad Men meme before, I think it nicely sums up the Yankees/Angels fan relationship for most of the fans (with Don Draper being the Yankees fans, of course):

I mean, they used to hate us, back in the Scioscia days. We fucking owned the Yankees at home and always played them tough at Yankee Stadium. 2002 and 2005.

Remember that epic thread on some Yanks board about how our scrubs kept killing them and shit? It was hilarious.

Now things have changed. We can't beat the Yanks in NY and we don't beat them at home like we used to. I doubt they care much about the Angels these days.
