one of the things that should come out of the crisis once it has passed is for the US to start manufacturing the products we need in an emergency ourselves. we should not rely on china any longer for masks and test kits and whatever else we get from them. 

I've been very glad to see several American companies stepping up and switching their manufacturing to masks and gowns. there's even a Canadian hockey helmet company (Bauer) that has switched to making face shields for medical personnel. awesome. 

I also imagine that once everything has settled down, there'll be a huge run on supplies by hospitals to have on hand for the next emergency so they aren't caught short again.

question...would the US be better off if Trump tested positive and was in total isolation for 2 weeks? Not just quarantined...but no ability to communicate to the outside world
