As a side note, keep a cold towel handy along with something in case the vertigo in the Eply manuever causes vomiting. You will end up feeling very sick to the stomach and sweaty. Been there, didn't get a lollipop from the physical therapist that guided me through it.

Anyone else feel like they might have corona and not get tested yet?

I feel like I might have the corona virus. For the past 10 days, I have had this horrible dizziness and fatigue, as well as a cough that seems to last all day one day then disappears the next. I wake up in the morning and get of bed, and almost fall down from my head spinning out of control. I eventually recover and seem fine enough to get through the day.

My symptoms are too mild to actually go to the doctor, but there is definitely something wrong with me.

I've had a cough ever since I read this post.

I was freaking out about 3 days ago because I had pretty bad swelling in the back of my throat and discomfort in my lungs. PattyD's article describing days 1-3 fit me well. Fortunately that was the worst of it, I feel completely fine right now.

I don't think that you know what the hell you're talking about, nor do I believe that you regularly frequent the sites of infectious disease journals on a regular basis.

I'll tell you one thing: you're not crunching the numbers you see in that article well at all.

Let me help you out: over that four-flu-season period covered, it showed that .3% of flu cases in Italy resulted in death.

I'll gove you a handicap, though: just for fun you can go ahead and cut the current percentage of COVID-19 cases that are fatal in Italy by 3/4 and compare it to influenza.

It's still 8x more likely to kill an infected Italian in this outbreak.

Quit it with the bullshit. This is serious.

So you seem good at math. Put a number by your seriousness. What is their end game and what is ours? Remember you libtards said 28k Americans died annually for lack of routine care. Thus we have Obama care. Currently many hospitals have cancelled routine care. The 28 k was based on uninsured population of 23 million. Now we cancel routine care for 330 million people that number becomes 400,000 annual deaths resulting from routine care. This seems more serious to me. Corona is going to have a hard time beating this years flu or the 10 year record of 61k. Certainly isn’t going to top the deaths from lack of routine care. Not a joke by any means but this hysteria is only hurting the country and isn’t saving a lot of lives big picture

Yes think I had it in February. Much of the hysteria could be put to rest if we could have tested earlier and more often. Stay well

Doctor Who Reaction GIF

I just want the mathematicians and freedom grabbers to put their names by a number. They are pretty good at mocking and kitty cat emojis but not so willing to pull the balls out and stand for something. We need a poll for death total

There are also reports that the death number in Italy might be unreported.

This is anecdotal, not scientific analysis.

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/this-is-very-important-from-italy-please-read

Nembro, in the province of Bergamo, is the town most hard hit in per capita terms by COVID-19. Currently the town has 31 deaths attributed to COVID-19. But when the two authors looked at the total number of deaths registered in the town in January, February and March and compared it to the average for that period in previous years they found the number was dramatically larger. 158 deaths have been registered in the town during that period this year compared to an average of 35 in previous years.

The math is simple: the average of 35 plus the 31 COVID-19 deaths gets you to 66. But the town has recorded almost 100 more deaths on top of that. As the authors say, “The difference is enormous and cannot be a simple statistical deviation.”

The authors applied the same analysis to two other towns and in both came up with anomalous deaths 6.1 times the number officially attributed to COVID-19. The ratio was even higher for Bergamo as a whole.

remember, this is an era where people challenge others to eat tide pods, handfuls of cinnamon, and go around licking ice cream in grocery stores and public toilets, so wisdom is not a common asset for many.

People go around licking ice cream in public toilets?

Your dizziness or better discribed as vertigo, could be Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo also known as BPPV.

BPPV develops when small crystals of calcium carbonate that are normally in another area of the inner ear break free and enter the semicircular canals.

Try the Eply manuever at home if you think the symptoms are related.

https://www.healthline.com/health/epley-maneuver

Yep that's what that is. Had that a while and head MRI's, Neurologists, etc. before I googled it and saw to go to an ENT specialist. The hairs in the ear(s) get flattened out. Benadryl and diet slows it down. Salt, alcohol and processed foods are some causes.  Done real well cutting out the processed foods.

I'm thinking north of 200,000 on the light side. I own guns and I'm a libertarian so your liberal comments need not apply.

I never got the impression you were so not directed at you. You could be right on deaths and I am no expert. The group seem to ignore the disease had spread to 126 countries in 5 months but has only killed 18k people world wide. We have had more flu deaths since January in the US alone. The death rates they are throwing around would have killed 50 million people in China alone. Even China couldnt keep that many deaths from the world.

The cases that gave an outcome, in other words the patient was discharged to home as cured or to the morgue, 16% resulted in death. Let that sink in, please.

Reminds me of the first page of this thread.

In case anybody scrolls backs, im not calling @tdawg87 or anyone else out. (I just remember tdawg for whatever reason)(no homo)(maybe a bit).

I think the death rate ill drop as more "average" people are exposed and beat it. But for some groups, the percentage will be sky high.

Ha! But really why did you tag me?

Just so it didnt look like i was calling you out specific.

When this thing first kicked off, the reports from china were "it might kill some old chinamen, but fuck... lots more where they come from." And we all went on and made aw.com dick jokes about this virus.

Now the movie outbreak looks like disneyland.
