If money were no object, and Kershaw opted out after the 2018 season, and the stars aligned correctly, who would you rather see in an Angels uniform next off-season?

Harper's a douche, but even I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to see him and Trout in a lineup together. Kershaw will also be 31 entering the 2019 season.

Kershaw, obviously. Angels don't even need the douche Harper since their lineup is still pretty deep, even with the funk that they've been in lately. Angels need pitching way more than hitting, obviously.

Kershaw will be great, but you just can't pass up the Trout-Harper-Ohtani trio....

Holding off on voting, will say that Kershaw has a lot of innings already pitched.   That is a red flag, given what money he will conmand.

I guess if I had to choose I would go with Harper.  There is just a much better chance of him staying healthy for the long haul and virtually no chance Kershaw is healthy for the next 5 years.

I love Kershaw, both as a player and a person, but between the two, you have to sign Harper due to the age difference.

Kershaw is too iconic for the dogs to let him get away.  

Harper is going to get a record breaking deal.  

It's hard to imagine Clayton staying healthy for the next 6 years.  Pitchers in their 30's are a bad idea no matter who they are and what track record they have. 

Harper is the better bet of the two, but Mike Trout is the best bet and no one can afford both (or is likely willing to).  

So my answer is neither unless Trout has indicated behind the scenes that he won't be signing an extension.  

Otherwise I stay focused on Trout, Simmons, Ohtani

Harper. Kershaw is too fragile lately and back problems only get worse as you age. I don't really like Harper's personality but I could learn to like it if he wore our uniform.

Someone already said it.  You can't pass up Trout. Harper,  Ohtani trio.  Two HoF to me and a third potential HoF.  Ohtani with above average performance as a hitter and pitcher equals HoF

Well I don't think Trout has much of an ego.  He at least appears to be humble.  Harper plays with an attitude, but I think he has matured a bit.

Bryce I wouldn’t even bat an eye at it either. I’m over signing over 30 year old baseball players to long term contracts that never work out. Bryce and Trout in the same line up at least we’d know those two would hit.

There may be no difference in actual ego.  The difference is self control and maturity.  Harper is figuring it out and Trout had it figured put from day 1.
