The reason he's looking at West Coast teams is not only because of weather. It is because of the time difference to Japan, a shorter flight to Tokyo, and weather.

New York to Tokyo is 2-3 longer hours as a flight, versus LA to Tokyo. (Seattle is the shortest of the markets at 11 hours, versus 12 for LA and 14-15 for NY.)

But West Coast Games start at 7 PM PST usually. That's Noon in Tokyo. East Coast Games Start at 7 PM EST, which is 9 AM in Tokyo.

Well he’s going to be spending 9 months a year in the States so that shouldn’t matter. He’s had time to evaluate 30 teams and probably eliminated 20 of them right away. I’m sure he has at least 6-10 teams he would seriously consider.

Interesting that a city that has so many landmarks: the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Edgar Allan Poe's House, cheesesteaks...the landmark he most wants to see is a statue of a fictional movie character.

He probably does not know or care of any American history, but everyone has seen Rocky!

Japanese star Shohei Ohtani has officially been posted by the Nippon Ham Fighters.

The Major League Baseball owners unanimously ratified a new posting system with Japan on Friday, officially clearing the way for Ohtani to be posted. The team that ultimately lands Ohtani will have to pay Nippon Ham a $20 million posting fee in addition to a signing bonus to the 23-year-old. Ohtani is expected to begin meeting with clubs as soon as next week and has until December 22 to reach an agreement with an MLB squad.

Arte and Eppy better bring out the full gauntlet.

- Disneyland & Knotts Berry Farm

- The Weather

- Playing with the best player in baseball in Mike Trout

- Having a great defense up the middle (TBD on the second baseman)

- Beaches

- Can play RF, 1B and see time at DH. Cron or Pujols get time at 1B on days he's the DH.

I think it would also behoove the Angels to make a trade to get a good second baseman now too!
