Scioscia needs to go..

Scioscia should be fired.

Second time early in this season he hasn't had an opposite armed pitcher warming up in the bullpen late in a game for match up purposes.  Combined with a team that seems to lack fundamentals and be ill prepared it is time for him to go.

This is going to be a long season.

After tonights debacle, this team will be 45-55 in April games since 2009. The players always talk about how great and loose Mike's spring trainings are. Obviously, whatever atmosphere he's creating there is not getting his clubs ready to give a championship level of performance out of the gate.

And yet in the gameday caht there were plenty applauding Scioscia for going to Jepsen.

Going to Jepsen to face Cespedes makes sense.

Not having a lefty to face Jaso(and it's not like the PH call there should have been surprising) or at least to face Moss after that didn't.

Jepsen's job was to get the righty Cespedes out. He failed. Once the A's countered after that with the lefty hitter, Burnett should have been ready to come in to offset that. Instead, Mike left him in to face Jaso

....and then he still left him in to face Brandon Moss. Now Burnett is pitching the 8th with the game out of reach. Too little, too late, which is becoming common with Scioscia these days
