Mike Scioscia should be the Manager of the Year.

Not sure if I'm giving Scioscia the credit for the rotation guys stepping up like they have or Dipoto for fixing the bullpen.

Yost is definitely in the discussion for sure.

One thing to consider though is KC already became a solid team a year ago, playing 86-76 baseball vs 78-84 baseball for the Halos.

 

The Halos in the meantime are on pace to improve by some 20-22 games over a year ago, despite several key injuries and player juggling. 

In his favor, Yost has little offense to work with.

 

Showalter has built the O's into a complete team.

He'll be in consideration for sure especially if they finish with the best record, but Yost will probably win it if KC wins their division. And possibly even if they win the WC.

This is a no-brainer. Considering how much we've improved over last season and could possibly win 100 games, the answer is obvious.

I've watched some Royals games this season but I can't see how Ned Yost is a good manager. He has the easiest job in the sport with Hererra, Davis and Holland, and yet he screws up a lot.

I'd go with Buck Showalter, but Scioscia probably gets credit for putting the team together after the Richards injury.

Royals play in the easiest division. Angels play in the strongest and still has the the best record in baseball. Add88th the injuries and management of the bench and "bullpen games" it shouldn't be close..

Scioscia is definitely a favorite to win it.
