Pujols looks exactly the same

Not a good feeling. It's only ST but his approach and results are exactly the same.  Lazy ass ground balls on the left side. I really hopes he comes around but after 2 years I really think his trajectory is set at slightly above average. At least the Reds got a few stellar years out of Griffey. Cmon Pujols prove me wrong.

So, he hasn't lost the weight. He needs to trim down now that he is older. If he doesn't stay in shape, then he will have to put up with those little bs injuries that will nag him all year.

I actually am, or close to it. Think of it this way: he's healthy, tenacious, and one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. He's still "only" 34 and truly great players tend to have one or two great seasons scattered amongst their decline years. I think 2014 is going to be his best year as an Angel - not only so far, but for the entire contract. Then I think he'll be decent for another 2-3 years and call it quits something in the 2018-2020 range.

He's healthy this season and I think he will provide some spurts of greatness but never reach the point where he can carry the team. I think he can hit 30 home runs this season but they may end up being the quietest home runs of his career.

Here's hoping he does hang them up by the late 2010s, as AJ alludes to, if his OPS is consistently in the .700s going into that timeframe.

Just wonderful otherwise having to pay some $90-120 million over 3-4 seasons for a .700s OPS.

I'm hoping for a .985 OPS from him when he's 39. Babe Ruth did it, and he was not in the best shape of his life.

His foot and knee do not appear to be an issue and he is moving well with a good play at 1st yesterday.  Only one hit in ST so far.  With his pride and work ethic he will surprise amny of you doubters.
