Suspected drunk driver kills 6 in wrong-way crash in Diamond Bar

You should be in favor of alcohol criminalization. You don't appear to be. To me that is puzzling. I don't claim to believe that driving high is enough of a problem to create a law banning the substance. So unless you feel drunk driving isn't problematic it is your viewpoint that doesn't make sense, not mine.

Huntington Beach had one similar recently. Drunk chick killed 3(?) kids from Vegas.

On PCH. Rammed into them at high speed while they were stopped at a red light.

She was out on bail, then arrested again after planning to flee the country. She's not going anywhere now, and may spend decades in prison. We can only hope.

To say the girl is a waste of flesh is a massive understatement.  She had a DUI 2 years prior and according to at least 1 article something happened in the courts that resulted in her case falling through the cracks and on review it was the only one in the state.  As to the crash she was going home to San Clemente from Newport and yet she ran into the car on Magnolia and PCH in HB, i.e. she was so drunk she headed north after leaving Sharky's in Newport.  Some guys saw her driving erratic and hit a curb.  They pulled up next to her, asked her if she was okay and tried offering her a ride and she told them she was fine and took off.  Someone who saw the crash said as she came up to the light she was slowing at one point then all of the sudden she floored it and the investigation showed on impact she made no attempt to stop.  To top it all off she has a couple of kids.  3 lives ended and so many more will never be the same.

A Fontana woman who had been previously warned against driving under the influence of alcohol pleaded no contest Tuesday to second-degree murder charges for a wrong-way crash that killed six people, including her own sister, on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar four years ago.

Olivia Carolee Culbreath, 25, entered her plea to the six counts several hours after jury selection was to begin in her trial in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom.

She faces a maximum of 30 years to life in state prison, with sentencing set for Sept. 7, according to Deputy District Attorney Casey Higgins.

If alcohol is legal, then pot should be.  If driving under the influence of alcohol is illegal, then driving under the influence of pot should be illegal.  It's not that difficult.

The problem lies in the testing.
