Netflix:  Hubie Halloween  This is Adam Sandlers follow up to Uncut Gems.  Just think of what would happen if you gave Adam Sandler and his entire crew all the booze and drugs they wanted.  This movie would be the result of that one month bender.  This wouldn't even be worth watching during Halloween.  Heck, if you threw this on during a Halloween party, people would leave.  If you threw this on in an actual haunted house, the Ghosts would leave.  So even if you are a huge Adam Sandler fan, stay the F away.

How in the hell was that expensive to make? Get a few Dodge Polaris and some LTDs to drive around in then use leftover sets from some Women Behind Bars porn shoot, wardrobe from any Goodwill or Ross and your ready to roll camera.

Netflix:  Unsolved Mysteries volume 2  As the title implies.  Unsolved mysteries, mainly crimes.  They go through them, some are really reaching as far as whether they are a crime or not.  Others not so much.  Then they had one on ghosts of the Tsunami, which was strange.  Anyways, this is more geared towards the who done it, crime fans.

Barbarians - The first season was released on Netflix last week.  Worth a watch if you're bored and don't mind subtitles.  Would have been nice if they dedicated more than 20 minutes to a battle that lasted 4 days.

The Queen's Gambit - Stayed on Netflix after Barbarians and watched this.  Based on a book by Walter Travis who also wrote The Hustler and The Color of Money among other books.  I never got into playing chess but find the 20th century history of it fascinating especially with Fischer, Spassky and the Cold War.  Can definitely see the impact chess had on the US/USSR influencing Travis' work.  It's amazing how far ahead the great players are thinking and the fact that they're just on a completely different level from everyone else.

Netflix:  Shitt's Creek Season 6  I'm not even sure what it's supposed to be anymore.  Comedy, sitcom, romcom, much ado about nothing?  It just seems to be getting stale.  No real depth or change in the characters, what you see is what you get.  Story line is one dimensional.  It just seems to be going through the motions.  Not even sure it's worth watching even if you are invested in the series, or if just getting a synopsis of what happened during the season is good enough.  Because nothing was really eventful or surprising in this season.

Agreed. I've been thinking about that for awhile, and nothing about the show strikes me as expensive to produce. I mean, obviously you have to have good people doing the work of producing and post-production, and I'm sure that costs some money. But as for the actual material/set costs, it feels like it should be super cheap.

Just finished S3 of Fargo

What in the world did I just watch?

The writers really did a good job of going all over the place.

And to think these are based on true stories makes it even stranger.

Really enjoyed this series.

Ready to start S4

Spoiler

They're not actually true
