Super Bowl 49 - B.  There's a twist ending that nobody saw coming.  Commercials were OK at best.  Halftime show was boring, needed more boobs.  Would not watch again.

Saw American Sniper last night with a bunch of other "angry" folks.

 

Thought Cooper was incredible.  Enjoyed the movie a lot and am really scratching my head to figure out why some libs seem to hate this flick.

cooper was great in it. the movie felt like made for tv other than him.

good point. I thought his wife was good in it too, but other than them, none of the other people really sold me. You (cez) know what im talking about when i say someone isnt convincing as military when i see them in a movie. This was one of those movies. Cooper sold me, bo one else really did. The BUDS scene alone was the stsrt of it (for me)

so, his little brother the marine...it really shouldnt have been too much trouble to get him dress blues that fit...or to have him shave for that scene...

Someone else watched it for me and tried to pull the "there were some funny parts", but she knew I knew that was code for it sucking but trying to save face for losing time and justifying it. She eventually said it sucked.

Yeah, his brother situation just seemed off to me also.  I just don't know why you would want to portray him like they did in the movie.  It was like they were trying to make it a point to say that he was the weak runt of the family.  Instead of continuing the character of a brother sticking up for a brother like the beginning of the movie.

Anyone seen unbroken yet? Same thing. Great story, but just didnt sell me. Poorly cast, IMO. Acting was pretty bland and didnt really sell me. Im not a fan of cgi to begin with, but if youre going to do it, at least make it look real. So the opening scene already told me the movie was going to likely suck.

Too bad too. Amazing story about an amazing man. Would have been better told by a more experienced director.

Just watched The Interview last night. I went into it thinking it was going to be the worst movie in the world, definitely wasn't. I'd give it a 6.5/10

I just started watching Peaky Blinders.

THIS SHOW IS FLAT OUT AMAZING.

If you haven't seen it, start watching now.

I'm only two episodes in, but I can't find a single fault with the show. It's damn near perfect.

Much better than I thought it would be. 

 

 

I am on episode 7 right now.  Can't really figure out if I want to keep watching.  It just seems to be going in circles.  Something better happen quick or I will drop it.

Just finished watching The Fall. I enjoyed it. The 50 shades of grey dude plays a pretty good serial killer. Seems they ripped some of his character off from Dexter, but it was good none the less.

Saw Theory of Everything last weekend. Wonderful movie, and Eddie Redmayne did a really good job of portraying Hawking in his various stages of deterioration, also showing Hawking kept his sense of humor throughout.

 

I actually read that Hawking saw the movie himself and couldn't tell if it was him or an actor playing him on screen. I think that's pretty high praise.
