I peed next to him at the all star game. And wanted so badly to ask him about that... because I thought it was funny as hell. And also because I didnt know (and still dont) anything else about him.

He's Ellis' uncle.

I love how random Joe Schmoes apparently are privy to typical timelines and complexity (or lack thereof) on investigations like these of a high profile sports figure.

For what it's worth, I've been privy to the details of 4 significant claims along these lines (or worse in one case) in the entertainment industry, two of which made national news.  In all 4 of those cases, the actual investigations were completed in less than month, though when the results were announced varied quite a bit.  I do wonder if the anonymity of the accusers might be slowing things down in the Callaway case.

Some of it is, I assume, based only on the testimony of the women in question. Some of it is also from texts - which I would think is still able to be viewed. I've seen people mention dick picks, but as far as I've seen it was mainly harassment that they didn't tell him they weren't interested because they didn't want to get on Callaway's bad side. I'm not saying it isn't a fireable offense, but the Angels management may not view those offenses as serious enough to fire him for. The more serious charges I saw were allegedly thrusting his crotch in a female reporter's face and asking for nude pics, but as far as I know, the former could simply be denied. The last one would be the hardest to avoid firing him for. But if they're committed to keeping him, which at this point I'm starting to suspect, then they may either try to find some way to excuse or deny it, or just wait a bit longer and say they investigated and decided it wasn't enough to fire him over. Maybe he issues a canned apology and promises to educate himself or take a class on how to relate to women appropriately in the workplace.

I don't believe that's what they should do, but the longer this goes on the more I believe it is the likely result. There's zero reason an investigation should take this long.

Yes there are clearly allegations worthy of investigation.

I'm not sure what his employment contract looks like, so the procedures involved may take extra time. Since he hasn't publicly admitted anything like the others I mentioned, that may be the case. If the Angels were to fire him without following the procedures, he would be owed his salary. So perhaps the Angels are fully investigating per their contracts in order to not have to pay him?

Or at least that's one reason

Yup. The personalities that come out of the woodwork sharing their "expertise" is hilarious. Bloodlust more like it. Folks just want to be heard, and the more emotionally they react, the less people will realize they lack any sense of logic. But that's just how it goes on our sensationalist society.

You've done the exact same thing in this thread.

I disagree with him on some baseball message board so I'm going to be mad!

Pathetic.

Lol at framing this as a "disagreement," assuming you're talking about Callaway.  If he did what he is alleged to have done, what is there to agree or disagree about? Is there really a "pro" argument to be made for sending harassing texts?
