Yea, according to Kay's Linkedin he started working for the Angels in '97. Looks like probably an internship to start cause he graduated from Pepperdine in '96. He def got promoted by Carpino a few times but you are right about his hiring.

Clubhouse guy has been around since ‘81 and in his clubhouse role since ‘90.  Eric Kay had been with the team since the mid 90’s.
