This is just absolutely depressing.

It is almost comical. Every year seems to be yet another tragedy.

So much for the Magical Maddon Effect - he hasn't been able to harness this team's potential. So much for Eppler's NYY savvy. So much for the Upton signing, the Ohtani "coup," the up-and-coming young starters. Even Trout is looking like he's turning into Rob Deer in the first year of his 10-year contract...will he be Chris Davis in a few years and the biggest cautionary tale in sports history?

I was hoping he would show up today to claim Trout can't be judged on this series because Trout is really worried about the hurricane.

Something is horribly wrong with our organization. Actually multiple things are probably horribly wrong. Owner who gets too involved in making a big splash rather than building a contender? Why do our pitchers arms keep falling off? Why does it seem we can't develop talent at even an average level? It's a depressing situation all around. I'm going to go cry now and read Lakers news to cheer up.

The whole staff is Rudy Stein. None can find the dam zone, much less pitch effectively within it.

Do they look for only guys who nibble?    Or just can't seem to bring in guys who have confidence in pitching in the zone?

Only twice since 2013 have they not been in the bottom half of MLB in BBs allowed.

And not only that, they don't seem to know how to put hitters away.   Seems like countless times, they give up hits when they have two strikes, and also with two outs.   It's like they don't have ANY killer instinct.
