Let' be honest. That was about as bad as today could've possibly gone. It took me all of 4 pitches to see he didn't have anything today.

Team definitely needs to acquire a starter at some point.  Please focus on the Rockies trio (Marquez, Gray, Freeland).

It would be nice if we had an offensive outburst today to keep it interested at least.

1st start in almost two years.  Didn’t look good in summer camp.  Never pitched in a real summer camp game.  Yet you all believe what’s said and think he’s gonna go 80-90 pitches.  Lol.  30 pitches.  But yeah....

And this is why you don't let him be in the batting lineup on sundays, at least until we know he has his pitching stuff back.  

That said, its not like we have a ton of other pitchers, it still behooves us to give him more chances at this.

I really hope that Ohtani is back in the lineup tomorrow based on his short outing. This doesn't necessarily qualify as a heavy work load today.

It's been 600+ days since Othani last started. 1st start, nothing to worry about, command needs to be ironed out. but if this continues in game 4,5... than we can start worrying.

I expected him to have struggles with command but the huge drop in velo was concerning. Hit 95 MPH a couple times, but mostly sat 91-93 with his secondary stuff also lacking any sharp bite to it.
