They’ve hired an architectural firm to explore both renovation and new stadium options, per the OCR article Fletcher just tweeted.

if he's correct, then i would assume they were grandfathered. probably was true of the angels until they gave that up by voluntarily changing their name. all of that assuming he was correct.
