I wouldn't say that Moustakas is more valuable than Fletcher per se... Fpetcher was good for 2 WAR last year while Moustakas was good for 2.5 in twice the at bats

I'm not sure I'm ready to bet on Fletcher's glove being that good based on partial season defensive stats.

it's gonna be challenging for a player with a sub 5% walk rate who doesn't hit double digit hrs and isn't likely to consistently hit over .300 to find and maintain an everyday gig.  He sets up as more a util long term but he could end up more valuable than Cozart the next couple years.  I think moose is more likely to out produce him this year but it probably won't be by much.

If he could take a few more walks I'd be happy, but I don't feel like he strikes out a ton. He's got good contact skills and tends to put the ball in play. Plus, he's an excellent defender at 2nd.

If he could increase his walk rate that would make him significantly more valuable.

If Harper gets only 300 million and machado's gets less. What does it say about Trout?  I think that helps the Angel's in extending him.

I do. If Harper signs with the Phillies it takes up a lot of money they could have potentially tried to throw at Trout. Hopefully the "Trout will go to Philly" narrative will die down a bit.
