Kinsler is a good bounce back candidate and he's still a solid defender. He's only owned $11m so it doesn't break the bank. We still have enough flexibility to add an impact infielder.

Bit mixed on this, the guy is 35 and struggled last year. He could be fine, he could also turn into another Espinosa, and our recent track record with rebounding vets hasn't been great.

I think the excitement is warranted because we're almost guaranteed to not be shit at 2B like we have the last 3 years. Considering his history he has a good chance of rebounding next year.

In his worst year which I personally don't expect him to repeat he put up 2.4 WAR. We got -0.3 WAR out of 2B last year. That itself is a big upgrade.

With his great defense I would take those numbers, especially since they are probably the floor of what he does.
