I have to believe that the hope of the front office is that Kinsler is an Angel for a couple of years.  I hated him on the Rangers for the same reasons I think I will like him as an Angel.

Though Avila could’ve waited, Fenech opines that the GM made the right call to act when there was a trade scenario on the table rather than to wait for something unforeseen to arise. Meanwhile, Kinsler tells Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register that Justin Upton has been recruiting him since being traded to the Angels in August, and the Halos’ success in the Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes caught his attention as well: “Making moves this winter to push for the next level … That motivates a player like me.”

If Upton has been looking for a team where he wasn't the center of the attention or meant to shoulder all the pressure, he sure found the right place. 

I can't tell you how many message board posts and sportswriter columns have completely left his name out of discussing the Angels offseason. I think he's going to have the best years of his career these next couple seasons.
