I love how the Angels seem to never be the favorite, or not really talked about in regards to free agents or potential trades and the way the FO operates by keeping tight lipped and their cards close to their chest. And I love Eppler, dude has been excellent thus far.

Can't dude, but I'm sure it will come out from another source in the future. I just cannot break the trust that has been afforded me.

Just playin', of course you can't!  Hopefully it leaks someday, would love to know how this went down.

So his salary will be $545k. How do the signing bonus and posting fee count against the cap, if at all?

To get this kind of talent on a minor league deal is so unbelievably huge on so many levels. Opens up so many more possibilities this offseason. I'm not going to predict that we sign Stanton, but I think this sets us up for a huge move.

This is simply amazing news.  This is so huge for the team and us fans.  I mean huge.

The cherry on top though is how badly that Gordon trade to the M's is now.  They are stuck with Gordon in CF (hahaha), his contract and they gave up two of their best prospects!!!!!  Seriously, that is hilarious.

Pujols will see a lions-share of time at 1B, presumably. Can't see Cron being utilized that much...he may be the odd man out. Either him or Valbuena will be very important as 1B insurance in case Albert break down or Ohtani can't hit, and Valbuena has the edge being left-handed and able to play two positions.

So I'd think 2B is still a huge priority, with 3B now becoming higher up the list. Moustakas could make more sense...he may take even less now to join this team.
