Bourjos update

Recommended Posts

Peter Bourjos (hamstring) continues to receive treatment in Arizona, and will rejoin the team when they return to Anaheim on Monday.
Even the most optimistic of time frames have Bourjos returning to the lineup at the end of May or beginning of June. Hamstring injuries can be extremely detrimental to players like Bourjos who rely so heavily on their speed, as they tend to linger and pose a high re-injury risk. J.B. Shuck will continue to see additional time in left field while Bourjos is sidelined. May 10 - 7:36 PM

What is the deal with Calhoun, for how much longer is he going to be unavailable. He is blowing a huge opportunity by being injured.

I think he was supposed to be sidelined 6-8 weeks after he broke the hamate bone on Salt Lake's Opening Day. Plus presumably rehab time after that.

And that injury is supposedly rough on a hitter's power for a little while after as well.

I still don't get where you think Shuck is a good base stealer. His minor league numbers are 74/46.

Exactly, and Bourjos even has much more XBH skills than Shuck to go with the GG defense.
The only things Bourjos doesn't have it all over Shuck in are OBP and SBs.

Holy Smokes MHD, you're really going to bash on Bourjos when he's hurt, yet was the best hitter in April and has a completely different approach from spring on.....?!?! While totally throwing out Bourjos' 2011 season and his scouting report.

What gives. You obviously hate Peter and it shows. I didn't even see this type of hate toward Mathis, possibly the worst Angels hitter over the last decade.
