The braves are pretty set with arms and I don't believe they need to stockpile movable pieces. Would guess a RP and cash or Cowart

Philips would get an extra 500k. Chance at the playoffs.  Play everyday.  None of those will happen in Atl. Yes his family....... but atl has roads games still.  Essentially we're talking about 3 weeks or so more correct?  500k..... bring the fam.

This, if we pay literally anything of substance its a bad deal especially considering Cin is still paying most of his money to Atl.

personally, not much of a phillips fan. his game is good, but he's 36 and his priorities seem to be off.

however, if they get him for extremely little, then fine. i prefer cowart over phillips.

I just really hope the angels dont trade Cowart.  I like him and even though his hitting has been pretty bad lately, theres no reason to think he cant improve on it in the future.

They traded two terrible pitchers in their late 20's for one full year of Phillips. And got Cincinnati to pick up the majority of the money. It'll be someone like Daniel Wright and brook pounders
