It is nice to see a team do the important and non-statistical things well.  Francona deserves credit for developing such an expectation with the Indians.

Such a strange series.  We are seeing fundamental baseball, solid defense from the Indians.  We are seeing a lot of flare and bloop base hits.  We are not seeing a lot of ringing doubles in the gaps.  Game one was the only game where the long ball was a big factor.  You have to think that if Francona has a lead or is tied that Miller is getting the ball early similar to Madison Bumgarner from 2014.

Cubs hitters failed to adjust to Kluber from Game 1. Last night he threw a lot of breaking pitches and they were flailing away at them. Some really terrible at-bats. They're also not swinging at strikes. That has to change or this series is over tonight.

If I had to pick one short stop in all of baseball it would be Seager.  Left handed bat, will probably transition to 3rd at some point because of his size.  Can hit 2nd-4th in a line up.  He is a beast.

The Wahoos have dominated in every aspect of the game in this series. Forget the regular season, the Cubs have failed to adjust at the plate and have lost all semblance of the strike zone. The Indians' bullpen is far superior and for the Cubs to have a chance they would need to score early against Bauer and Tomlin and hope that Lester and Arrieta are exceptional. 

The best team doesn't always win but the team that is solid on defense and pitches well usually does.

Bauer sucks but Lester has a serious debilitating psych problem with holding runners . should be interesting for four innings before bullpens take over.

The "Lester can't hold runners" narrative would be far more interesting if he had not been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year and/or he had not already been extremely successful in this year's playoffs. It didn't stop him from doing any of that.

Which they had all year...that's why he said it's strange. They were at or near the top in pitches seen.

Lots of young players wanting to do something big. Expect a better approach tonight.

he said it's strange to see a good team be dominated, and i pointed to the reason why.

i don't expect to see a better approach tonight, but i do expect bauer to leave fastballs up and out over the plate. i don't think he's very good, but he certainly has the opportunity to shut my mouth.

Big difference between Kluber and Bauer.

obviously, Bauer is more intelligent, better looking and just an all-around better human being with high morals and a heart of gold.
