Worse then that we've had 47 shots directed at their net vs 22 for them.  Utterly dominating possession.  This usually correlates with victory.  We'll see.

like most calls in hockey, it's subjective. sometimes that doesn't get called.....but usually the player doesn't go down injured. so it was the combo. he was going to get a penalty, but then with the blood it auto jumps up a degree.

high sticks, cross checks, and boarding are touchy because based on severity you can get a game misconduct which is what happened. if there was no blood he may have just gotten a minor.
