I think you are confusing what people care about vs. what people post on a message board. no offense B, but your holier than thou attitude as of late just strikes me as a bit ironic.

Yeah, I agree. I have always respected you Brandon and definitely enjoyed your posts, but you have definitely changed your tone recently.

Btw, doesn't the 'herd' mentality just mean that multiple people disagree with one person? Generally speaking, message board disagreements aren't 50/50 so there is always going to be a herd relatively speaking. But I digress.

Eh. I get his point. I spoke up about addiction and a few (the ones that always post like they want him to fail at seemingly everything). I was surprised at the backlash, although I shouldn't have been.

Telling a sports forum there are things more important than baseball will rule up some and sports guy will have something to say.

Worst case scenario, he is suspended for two years. What is he gonna do with two years of free time with nothing to do? He has a history of relapsing in the offseason, when baseball isn't his main focus,

I hate to say, things could get ugly for josh if he lets them

my guess is the same things he was doing when he had something to do

Brandon is like Robert Deniro's character in Analyze This.

Hey MT - you're Billy Crystal

That's right.  I just made that reference.

All I do is joke around or post in the soccer forum....and been too busy to even be really active the past three weeks.

I think you're grouping the one serious political post I did towards you and grouping it here. There are a few life areas I feel I know a little bit more than the average Joe and speak up about those, the rest of the time I make borderline ban worthy jokes.

Just got home from work and saw this. Unbelievable.

I'm not going to read all 15 pages of this thread. The first page was depressing enough for one day.

Its getting more depressing.  At least this afternoon, we thought we were getting some relief because of this cockmunch.  Now we are hearing he confessed, so no suspension.  Much worse.

The cryptic comments from the Angels (Moreno, Scioscia, etc) don't exactly suggest THEY feel sorry for Hamilton at this point.  Reading between the lines, they kind of hung him out to dry.

Maybe the quote from the MLB exec really is true, maybe this is much worse than any of us are prepared for.

That is one such post, but I have seen a few others (including you calling out AJ - who never says a negative thing about anyone or anything - in this thread).

If the reports are true then I really don't feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for his family having to deal with it. He had all the tools he needed to stay sober, and if that itch was so bad he should have stepped up before he took action and told the FO or his family that he was feeling a relapse coming. He could have gone to a treatment center before a relapse ever occurred and when a person has that much sobriety time pieced together they should know better. Wish him the best but he did it to himself.

That is way too much logic and rational thinking for a massive addict. It is lot more complicated than just feeling a relapse coming.

Well, there is this

Hamilton would technically be a first-time offender at the major-league level since his previous brushes occurred while the minors, and could be treated as such. First-time offenders by rule are put into a program and subject to increased testing, though Hamilton already is tested three times a week, according to reports. However, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reported that it is "unlikely" Hamilton would be treated as strictly a first-time offender, and Jon Morosi of FoxSports.com reported that new commissioner Rob Manfred may have some discretion based on Hamilton's past minor-league incidents and ex-commissioner Bud Selig's decision to reinstate him after many minor-league suspensions.

What cryptic quotes? Are you taking about the ones last week?
