Actually dude....   They brought up the dragons and how in this case, dragons should have been used as "close air support" and the Dothraki as light infantry to come in slashing attacks after dragon fly-bys...   They took the shit super serious ... was actually kind of entertaining to see them try to analyze how to use their "air superiority".

They had to kill off the Armies not  indigenous to the area. Otherwise the queen of dragons own all. So her horsemen and most of the unsullied along with the north men had to get whittled down. Her love tryst had to end as well and he died protecting her to the end, so his storyline ends clean. Now nothing stands in the way of her and Jon. 

Really, this episode cleans up a lot of problems.

Well yeah, but people have higher expectations than simply streamlining and simplifying the plot. It’s like, hey this Night King is a real complication to the story, we better make sure we take care of him.

I really wanted to see Arya and Sansa's immediate reaction when Jon told him who he truly was .... but then he didn't even tell them, he told Bran to ... and then it was done off screen.

Dany couldn't see a fleet of ships flying high in the sky??? Euron is more accurate / powerful than the Night King??

I know it’s not really possible but after last week it’d almost be better if they just skipped over the whole Night King distraction and went straight in to the war for Westeros.

What do you mean more powerful/accurate than the Night King?  Night King killed a dragon with a single spear.

I think it's funny how some complain about the Night King's death. Hey, he died in battle, in armed conflict while most generals and King's never get that close to death.

Brigadier General Teddy Roosevelt Jr stormed the beach on D Day. He was known for being on the front lines and the only general to land with his troops, under fire, in the first wave. He received the Medal of Honor posthumously, not for taking a bullet but a heart attack a month later at age 56. 

Some stories end less dramatic than others.

How do Daeny or either dragon not see at least one of those ships before Rhaegal takes an arrow through the chest?  How does Bronn just pop up in Winterfell with a crossbow on Jaime and Tyrion?  It just seems like some details or the level of story telling from earlier seasons are being lost in the sprint to the finish line. 

Despite any gripes overall I enjoyed the episode.  Looking forward to seeing how they wrap it all up because Tyrion/Varys both admitted Daeny isn't the best one for the job and after the last 15 minutes  of the episode I don't see how she doesn't full on lose it and want to attack. I full on expect Jaime to go Kingslayer 2.0 for his swan song.
