13M a year is pretty cheap. If he goes to the Brewers, I'm pretty sure Dipoto didn't want to go more than 3 years.

That's a reasonable deal for him all things considered, but I don't mind the Halos passing on it. Much more desirable arms available next winter. No need to tie up a good chunk of their future available money on an arm like him

 

Definitely need to sign another cheap arm though to add depth

Sure, there are more desirable arms available next winter, but guess what?  They are going to cost a heck of a lot more.  The Angels won't go for any of them because they won't want to go over the luxury tax.

Why exactly? If it is a reasonable contract, and he will give you a solid, if not fantastic 200 innings. He pitched in a bandbox in Cincy and still have solid numbers. I am guessing if we sign him we will still have room for another arm. I am so sick of the thought that everyone sucks, it simply isn't true.
