Lou, we don’t know each other personally but I can say with no hesitation that you are the poster on this board that has been most inspirational to me.  So much respect. 

You have the discipline to stay brief, to the point, smart, and almost every post reminds me to try to find joy in keeping it simple and in the right context.

You are a legend, for real.

I can only imagine how much value you must have delivered over the years to people who know you in person.  I am sure you are an absolute gift and treasure to them.

Very sad news indeed as I too have always enjoyed your posts Lou &, like many others, have appreciated the intelligence & knowledge you have always brought to this board. That you generously imparted among those of us who were willing to be enlightened & the humor you used to try to "reach" those who weren't as receptive. But, regardless, thank you very much Lou for your wit & wisdom & my very best to you & to your family. Damn this sucks. While we've never met I've always respected Lou and he's been a huge part of this community for as long as I can remember posting here. It was always an honor getting the "I agree" treatment in response to something stupid posted years ago. Prayers for him and his family.

Well this is absolutely horrible, having lost my dad to cancer a couple of years ago I hate this disease with a passion.  Lou, I will pray for you til the end.  I am so sorry this is happening.  Thanks for every time you made me laugh (and that was a whole bunch).

I’m pretty bummed. I’ve known something was up for a few years now but he never shared the details. Should’ve texted him more often. I will never forget the weekend we spent in San Francisco (no gay) many years ago. When I have more time I will share the story of that weekend here. It was pretty epic
