I haven’t been on here a long time and I am sorry to see this news. Before I made my account, I read around and decided to make an account because I found the content amusing, particularly @Lou RIP Lou. I never met you but thanks for the laughs. I wish everyone here well.

Ah man, just saw this. LOU has been a stalwart poster here for two decades. Heck, I think he goes back to the ESPN board days and that's a long time ago.  I met him at a couple of the functions/ game events that Chuck and the folks who make this Board happen day. after day, year. after year - organized.   My prayers are there for LOU.    May the Angels welcome him. - he's been a faithful servant -- and just a great person on this board.

Chuck -- thanks for letting us know -- my next door neighbor - a dear friend of mine for more than two decades is battling cancer -- it truly sucks.      LOU - you've been a positive force here with witty insightful posts -- heck - you disagreed with me more than half the time so it just shows you know your stuff!!!  My thoughts are with you.

This is why I've been silent so far, though I've read and thought about this thread and Lou a lot ever since it was posted.  I haven't known him nearly as long as many as you but this has devastated me all the same.  I've had an amazing time meeting many of you in person the past couple years and Lou was always someone I was hoping I'd get the chance to meet some day.  I'm heartbroken to know I'll never get that chance, but blessed to have experienced the joy he brought to the site.  It won't be the same.

I am a diehard Angel and UCLA fan. They are the only teams I follow. I'm sorry to have joined Angelswin so late that I didn't have the opportunity to interact with Lou. We could have had some great conversations. My heart goes out to his many many friends and family. RIP.

Same here (user name makes it obvious). Lou was far and away the most clever person on this board. Amazing what he could do with a 3 word response or resurrection of a 3 year old thread. Rest in peace Lou.

My name it's Patrick (known as PJ) to my brother Lou. My family and I have been following this since it was first posted and even created accounts. Most know by now that Lou passed peacefully in his sleep on August 8th at approximately 5pm while The Ocho was on TV (c'mon, you know he loved all sports even the weird ones, like Cricket). He constantly bragged about AngelsWin, all the fun times he had here and the trips to watch The Halos play, home and away with you guys. You all were his extended family and loved every minute he spent on here. To see him spend his last several days reading your posts and thoughts about him brought a smile (and tears) to his face, as it did his brothers and sister. All of us have also been keeping up with this post and you will never know how much we appreciate the love, memories, thoughts and especially the pictures you have shared. Our greatest memory with him was being in the front row at the left field foul pole for the Angels 2002 World Series win. All of us hugging and crying tears of joy at the site we thought we would never see. Close 2nd was Barry Bonds flipping us off during the game because Lou kept leading our entire section in a "sterrrroooooids!" chant while we were jamming a Thunderstick into our arms. Honor him by keeping his memory and stories alive. Celebrate his life. "LouDogg" was a smartass until the end and continued to make us laugh until his last breath.
